RCA does not provide the same customer service many do – their resources have become notoriously limited since the late 80′s. As far as common repair problems go, though, the most common is an issue with the set just dying out shortly after the warranty expires. This results in pricey repairs for owners, and many hesitate to even go this far, citing that repairs would cost as much as the television originally cost.
The RCA brand has been a steady name in households across America since 1919, with its official run ending in 1986 when General Electric over-took it and broke the electronics company up into a myriad of miniature businesses, brands and trademarks. However, the RCA name still makes its way onto many home appliances, including telephones and television sets.
RCA televisions are manufactured by TTE Corporation, a subsidiary of TCL Corporation – one of the world’s largest TV manufacturers. RCA has continued to produce quality televisions, moving quickly towards cutting-edge technologies and superior picture. It has developed trademarked technologies called ARC2 and EN-V to produce picture coloring that will rival reality.
Beyond the 16 million shades of colors offered by the above technologies, RCA has acknowledged some of the most basic needs television owners have with “Fetch” technology, which helps you find your lost remote control. Next time you turn your room upside down looking for a lost remote, think about RCA’s Fetch technology, which provides a button on the side of the TV that will make your lost remote bark until found.
Most warranties for RCA are one year, parts and labor, but there are a number of exceptions. Note that there is absolutely no coverage beyond this period from RCA. RCA-specific parts will have to be paid for in full, on top of labor.
