For the following models: WD-52631, WD-57731, WD-65731, WD-Y57, WD-Y65, WD-57732, WD-65732, WD-57831, WD-65831, the most common repair problem stems from television shutting off almost immediately after it has been turned on accompanied by the message, “TV will shut down in a few seconds. Please check if the air flow is blocked.” According to the Mitsubishi website, this issue is caused by a loose connection as a result of a faulty thermal sensor. For models: WD-73727, WD-73827, WD-73927, WD-73732, WD-7383, the most encountered repair problem has been in relation to the optical engine. Another common situation consumers have encountered is failure of the TV to turn on along with unceasing flashing of the green power light. The solution for this problem, caused by the DM board, will vary by repairman. Consumers have also encountered issues with moving vertical or horizontal lines appearing on the screen which can either be due to problems with the capacitor, light engine, or formatter board.

Warranty Information
There is in-home service on all big screen models, which have warranties of 30 days for screens and one year for parts and labor. The LCD televisions have a one year warranty on parts and one year on labor with carry-in service. For plasma sets, in-home service is available on all models. There is a one year warranty on parts and one year on labor. The faulty thermal sensor, mentioned in the commmon repairs section, is now covered by by a 30 day warranty, as is the problem related to the optical engine.

Has a high quality HD picture with great contrast, color, grayscale tracking, and screen uniformity. Unique six-segment color wheel allows control over the three secondary colors in addition to the normal primary red green and blue. Inputs are auto-sensing and compatible with Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. Weaknesses include excessive edge enhancement.
WD-57731 DLP Rear Projection TV
Offers 1920 x 1080p resolution and an excellent onboard high-definition tuner. Offers sharp picture and rich yet natural looking color. Its split screen feature allows two images to be displayed side-by-side. Fair contrast ratio.
WD-62725 62″ HD-Ready TV
The pros of this model include its incredible and reliable picture quality, especially in HD, with vivid color and warm sound. The cooling fan is rather loud and can sometimes be distracting, especially during quiet periods. Also, in dark scenes, there may be noticeable light spots which can detract from the picture quality. Bright ambient lighting causes glare at times.
